Amazing!

Lee Price : Oil painting while eating junk food

'Realist oil painter Lee Price paints self-portraits of herself from an overhead vantage point, primarily in bathrooms while eating junk food.'
While im not overlay sure on the exact meaning behind these painting i cannot fault the skill and craft man ship in these painting.
Maybe its something to do with long days and coming home to relax?
But there incredibly realistic

Its all about the Salt

This week we our FAFD course were given a project
A box,
With Salt, Gum, yarn and raffle tickets
I saw this on Tumblr... made entirely from salt.
The last one makes me think of weather or the ocean?

Fish

illustrations by Amália Lage (brasil)

I would hazard a guess at print?
While im not overlay sure how these amazing pieces were created i do know
they are all types of beautiful, Simple and colourful.
The different texture and overlapping images i find i like this piece for

Metamorphose by Frederic Fontenoy

Metamorphose by Frederic Fontenoy
The name i find is very fitting for this.
Much like something is growing or evolving.
I like how feet and arms are often left or just blurred.
In some its not even clear what body parts.

Hit me

I really do love these quirky little pieces.
Its so bright and colourful and reminds me of something for a child
butt he text is very conflicting which i think thats why i laughed so much at it!

Nightmares

Artist Zdzislaw Beksinski (24 February 1929 – 21 February 2005) was a renowned Polish painter, photographer, and sculptor. Beksiński executed his paintings and drawings either in what he called a ‘Baroque’ or a ‘Gothic’ manner. The first style is dominated by representation, with the best-known examples coming from his fantastic realism period when he painted disturbing images of a surrealistic, nightmarish environment. The second style is more abstract, being dominated by form, and is typified by Beksiński’s later paintings.

These paintings have such atmosphere and i get so sucked in.
They are extremly strange and make me wonder what he must do to have nightmares like this?
The most beautiful things can be created from the most horrid situations

Theres a mouth in my bowl?- Ronit Baranga

Ronit Baranga
The idea of these is something im very fond off.... To put something like a mouth into a bowl or a cup is a very strange thing to do. I also like the fact its not meant to be there.
Her other work also includes fingers and other human parts in plates and cups.
They look almost water colour painting and delicate.
very fond of these.

Chicks in Dress

I absolute adore these little critters in clothing!

'US photographer Julie Persons started her hobby of dressing chicks in hats when her seven-year-old daughter decided to try accessorising some baby birds they were keeping at home'
What an amazing idea! I love the chick in the little wrap! Something just makes it seem so normal.. even though its a chick

The fox coat

This painting makes me feel extremely sad but also glad, glad that people are always trying to stop people wearing fur and get their message across through art

Assassins creed Artwork

One of my favourite ever games and some of my favourite work.
These and the character design sheets are among some of my top artworks from the game.
But not just this game in fact mot games and some films i do indeed love.
Im not sure what it is about them i like so much...
Maybe the detailing? or perhaps thousands will see you work in game?

Emma Kisiel

The work of Emma Kisiel
I scrolled upon this on tumblr a night or two ago.
Its based on our inability to confront death.
And that in some places on the earth animals are not classed as equal.
I like how morbid but yet happy it is.
Like simplicity with the dead, if that makes any sense!

A ball point pen artist.

Tumblr is my number one source of picture finding and i carnt be more happy about it.
This is an artist from Portugal who was for many years a lawyer but self taught them selfs.
I love Biro, Ball point is one of my favourite mediums to draw with so this defiantly caught my eye.

Jack and Sally

There is no source on this picture, which i find a shame as i would love to know why they painted this.
I have seen tones of the generic 'Nightmare before christmas' painting/drawing etc.
But i find this one quite haunting and spooky,
I defiantly think i like it more because its realistic.

Tooth Advertisement

I was unable to find a whole lot of detail about this piece...
I had questions but little answers.... Is it a real sized tooth? or is it larger scale?
It only had this caption
Maxam Toiletries created these creative ads depicting civilizations being built inside of teeth
Im assuming its about tooth Decay of some kind, It rotting but its the creativity that struck me into this piece....
If my tooth did indeed rot i would not be unhappy if it rotted in this way!

Anastasios Gionis

The great thing about tumblr is the amazing work that crops up there once in a while.
As soon as i saw these it reminded me of one of my favourite films' Silent hill'
Or something similar from an erie Horror film...
They are so Dark and Morbid, i think thats what drew me to them in the first place...
The creatures themselves and the setting for each drawings

New blog-

I came across this blog earlier today - http://tombagshaw.blogspot.co.uk/
I first saw one of his paintings(?) on tumblr yesterday evening. He paints the ladies/men in a 18/19th century style but adds a vulgar twist such as horns, rats and stretched ears.
i love the way he has Modernised such an old style of painting and made it something very current.
I would very much like to try something similar with making old painting modern and disturbing.
His blog is full of strange and Unique painting such as aliens and other oddities

( on further inspection i think they may actually be photoshoped? )

Kate Macdowell

Based upon environmental issues, deforestation and pollution .
I find this really quite refreshing, to see something so simple but yet it be so powerful .
I find her work is dark and of a strange nature but displayed and made like something
someone would have in the everyday home
